Missions

Judea

Our Judea is the Houston Metro Region. Examples of Judea projects include the Urban youth camps and mentoring relationships conducted by Sugar Creek each year. Also ethnic church planting and leadership development is a core strategy for this region. Other Judea projects include support for Women’s Pregnancy Center, and support for Baptist mission centers and associations.

Hope House
Hope House is a place of refuge in a world of chaos, misery and pain for those who struggle with addiction, homelessness and finding their place after being released from prison. Through the ministry of Hope House, men learn responsibility, stewardship, community and most importantly, the love of God.
China/American Fellowship
Each week, dozens of national Chinese medical personnel studying in the U.S., hear the word of God, receive encouragement and experience Christian community; which they carry with them upon their return to China.
Baptist Mission Centers Houston
North American Mission Board (NAMB) Missionaries operate 3 outreach centers in the city of Houston and outlying areas. Baptist Mission Centers serve impoverished communities in the inner city of Houston, TX by providing for the physical and spiritual needs of people. Ministries include: Food and Clothing Distribution, Kids' Clubs, Preteen & Teen Clubs, Christian Women's Job Corps, Senior Adult Ministry, E.S.L. Classes and more!
Women's Pregnancy Center
The mission of this center is to help as many pregnant women & their babies as we possibly can. Since 1981, we have helped over 15,000 women. Over 200 pregnant women call the National Hotline every month seeking our assistance. The Women's Pregnancy Center provides extensive counseling and information for pregnant women seeking information on the resources available to them, including providing free shelter for expectant mothers and their children. Sugar Creek provides both financial resources as well as volunteers to this ministry.
Urban Youth Outreach
Through Sugar Creek camps, hundreds of at-risk young men and women have received Christ; many have experienced the love of God for the first time. These young people also receive discipleship, training and on-going mentorship.
New Church Planting
The church of Jesus Christ is the method by which He has chosen to reach the world with His message of hope and love. Through the Church planting ministry of Sugar Creek, new pastors are trained and mentored, new congregations of believers are encouraged and new missionaries go out into the world for Jesus Christ. By God's grace and mercy, Sugar Creek has helped birth new churches in the United States and around the world, as well as dozens of congregations throughout the metro Houston area.
